School Uniform

At Shocklach, we take great pride in the way the children present themselves on a daily basis. This helps them feel unified, focused and ready to learn. We would like emphasise the expectations for uniform and ensure that these are being followed.

The school uniform at Shocklach is:

  • Tartan Skirt (grey/purple)/grey trousers (required)

  • Blue polo shirt (required) with logo (optional)

  • Purple cardigan/sweatshirt with logo (required)

  • Grey/black socks, grey tights or black leggings (required)

  • Black sensible shoes (required)

  • Blue gingham dress/grey shorts in the summer term (optional)

Adaptations can be made for those that require them but these must be discussed with the class teacher and the senior leadership team. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to your class teacher.

Second hand school uniform sales, run by the STSA, will be in the school playground after school, when we have stock. Please donate any pre-loved items to school.

Children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 also need suitable clothing for the Woodland classroom (see below).

PE Kit

  • Plain black shorts (required)

  • White school T-shirt (logo optional)

  • Black tracksuit bottoms/leggings

  • Plain dark trainers / pumps (required)

  • Purple hoody with logo (optional)

Early Years Classroom (Winter Months)

  • Lined winter wellington boots (recommended)

  • Lined warm waterproof over-trousers (not an all-in-one) (recommended)

  • Old thick warm waterproof coat (recommended)

  • All of the above items need to stay in school for the winter

Early Years Classroom (Summer Months)

  • Sun hat (recommended)

  • Thin waterproof bottoms (recommended)

  • Thin waterproof coat (recommended)

  • All of the above items need to stay in school for the Summer.

Optional Items

  • Purple cap with logo

  • Book bag

  • Duffle bag

All clothing, bags, and footwear should be clearly marked with your child’s name. Shower-proof school fleeces are available but are for outdoor use only.
